Elwin “Doug” Lee was born September 22, in Pearl River County Mississippi. He began his music studies at age seven.  After graduating from Pearl River Central High School, Carriere, MS, in 1961, he served in the U.S. Armed Forces for two years with one of those years in Vietnam.   He is a 1968 graduate of Southeastern Baptist College, Laurel, MS with an AA Degree in business and then continued education and earned a BA Degree in Church Music  and a MBA  from Louisiana Baptist University, Shreveport, LA.  

Doug’s Music Ministry  spans from five years in fulltime gospel music with The Gospel Continentals Evangelistic Team; 26 years as Minister of Music at Lee’s Chapel No. 2 Baptist Church,, Pastor Lavelle Lee, Mike McNutt and Rico Lee, Picayune, MS and is presently serving as Minister of Music at Mill Creek Baptist Church, Picayune, MS, Pastor Arthur Lee.

In 1969 Doug was married to his Sweetheart, Diane Husser, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Delos Eston Husser of Franklinton, LA.  Doug and Diane celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary in August of 2011.

Diane was born in Franklinton, LA, on July 8.  She is a graduate of Pearl River Central High School, Carriere, MS, and Southeastern Baptist College, Laurel, MS.  Diane was a singer and musician with the Gospel Continentals and has served as church pianist and organist since she was eight years old. 


Doug and Diane have one son, Jarrad Douglas Lee, married to Christy Lumpkin, daughter of Bro. and Mrs Cedric Lumpkin of Carriere, MS.  They have five beautiful children, Aby age 13, Colton age 9, twins Ann and Grace age 8 and the youngest, Jarran age 3.  Jarrad served as Pastor at Open Door Baptist Church, Laurel, MS, Heritage Baptist Church, Biloxi, MS and Associate Pastor and Minister of Music at Bible Baptist Church, Biloxi, MS and is now Interium Pastor at Lee’s Chapel #2 Church in Picayne, MS.i 



  









In 1988 Doug, Diane and Jarrad were invited by Missionaries Doyle and Linda Moore,  BMA Missionaries to the Philippines, to teach music workshops and conduct evangelistic concerts.  Their work with the BMA Bible College began at that time and has continued over the past 23 years.  Doug and Diane serve as Adjunct Professors and have been instrumental in establishing an accredited Music Department.  Accreditation has recently been granted to the BMA Bible College and recognized by the Accreditation Board of the Philippines as a degreed program.  Their music instructions and seminars have carried them from the United States to Central and South American and Asia.  

In April 2011 Doug and Diane were approved by the BMA of America and granted missionary status to work in the Music Department at the BMA Bible College, Silay City, on the Island of Negros Occidental.   They will be training church musicians to carry the gospel in music throughout the Philippines and the Asian Realm.  Presently, there are graduating students serving in Hong Kong, Cambodia, Thailand and several islands in the Philippines.
